The highly anticipated third phase of the Majestic River Marina Project in Kinshasa has officially begun construction, marking a new chapter in the transformation of the city’s riverfront. The expansion is being led by Mango International Construction Company, a trusted name in large-scale infrastructure and landmark developments across Central Africa.

Following the success of Phase I and II—which included the completion of the main marina docks, a floating restaurant, and essential utilities—Phase III focuses on expanding the capacity, enhancing visitor services, and introducing a multi-functional waterfront promenade. Once completed, this phase will solidify Majestic River’s status as the premier leisure and maritime hub in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The new phase includes the construction of additional boat slips, modern utility stations, upgraded lighting, green zones, and dedicated pedestrian areas for public access. Moreover, several commercial pavilions will be added to support tourism, retail, and hospitality development along the marina.

According to Mango International’s project manager, the goal of Phase III is to blend urban functionality with natural beauty, creating a seamless experience for locals, tourists, and business operators. “We are proud to help shape the future of Kinshasa’s waterfront. This development not only brings economic opportunity but also elevates the city’s global image,” he said.

Construction crews have already begun groundwork, with structural materials and equipment on-site. Environmental protection measures have also been put in place to preserve the river’s ecosystem throughout the building process.
